The Story behind Cursed Bloodlines
Hailing from the Joshua Tree area of the high desert in Southern California, chapioning the poverty metal scene in Yucca Valley; Cursed Bloodlines is creating a new metal scene in an area that has deperately needed it. With the thumping bass from Tim Morris, the slamming guitar riffs from Brian Oakes, and the ear piercing vocals of Malcolm Driggs, it won't be long before poverty metal and the high desert of California become synonomous.
Poverty metal is an eclectic style that takes many different influences from previous generations of extreme Rock. From classic thrash, to European Folk Metal, to modern day Deathcore; it is more of an ideal than a sound. It is about perservering through the tough circumstances that everyone faces, and rising above through determination, grit, and hard work. No strangers to any of those things, the members of Cursed Bloodlines are constantly working to bring their fanbase the most engaging, and cutting edge sounds at their disposal, while not being afraid to always try something new.
Unaplogetically irreverent and sarcastic, Cursed Bloodlines are continuing to write new music, and through that, start something that may become bigger than themselves. They are looking to introduce a community of like minded musicians to the High Desert, and the Poverty Metal that the world so sorely craves. Whether it comes from the brutal screams, hypnotic rythms, or just the groove or vibe of their tunes, Cursed Bloodlines is a band to keep on your radar in the coming year
